
King Von was in fact Dayvon Daquan Bennett. He was born in Chicago on August 9, 1994, and was the son of Walter and Taesha. Bennett had three brothers and sister from his mom. His father was a father to six half-siblings. As his father spent long in prison, Bennett was mostly taken by his mother. At the age of 11, Bennett's father was shot and later killed. Bennett was sentenced to his 16th year inside a prison. It was the start of his encounters with law enforcement. Afterward, he got some college credits at South Suburban College in South Holland, Illinois. Following further legal issues, Bennett tried to make an comeback to pursue his music career. He often collaborated with Lil Durk. A posthumous album, "What It Means to be King" which was released in March 2022.
